X-rays: Dental x-rays for looking at teeth and Panoramic x-rays that look at the development or abnormalities of the teeth and jaws.
Mouthguards and Bite Splints: Mouthguards prevent sport injuries to teeth. Night splints prevent wear and damage to teeth and help reduce facial pain caused by grinding at night.
Specialist Treatment: For patients requiring specialist treatment, we will organise for them to be seen and treated by our visiting consultants. This includes oral surgery, molar endodontics, implantology and orthodontics.
Dental Hygienists: Our hygienists are an important part of our team and are able to reinforce preventative dentistry. They will explain and discuss home care needs specific to adults and children, flossing and brushing to help monitor periodontal conditions.
Painless Dentistry: Besides our gentle approach, we use the following methods of pain control:
Topical Anaesthetic – placed on the gum to reduce the discomfort of the local anaesthetic
injection.
Local Anaesthetic – the traditional method using fast acting agents.
Intravenous Sedation (IV) – provides sedation to reduce anxiety and phobia felt by some
patients.
